Dr. Mahdokht Pourkhaleqi Chatroodi, The scientific secretary of the congress, said: 'This congress will be held with the purpose of promotion of cultural, social, political, and economic relations between Iran and the Central Asian Countries.'

Dr. Mahdokht Pourkhaleqi said to ISNA (Khorasan Branch): "The aim of holding this congress is to honor Amir Ali-Shir Navaii's role in cultural, social, political, and economic relations between Iran and the central Asian countries; getting more familiar with new research areas and encouraging researchers to expand their scientific researches towards this issue."

She continued: "also evaluating ways of motivating the society to use Amir Ali-Shir Navaii's cultural and historical position effectively, and discussing about his role by researchers of regional countries, is another aim of this congress."

The scientific secretary of the congress explained: "The Central Asian Research Center of Ferdowsi university of Mashhad (FUM) have cooperation with Khorasan Razavi's Cultural and Islamic relations organization, Uzbekistan embassy, Afghanistan embassy and some cultural and scientific organizations."

Dr. Pourkhaleqi Chatroodi explained about Amir Ali-Shir Navaii's works: "He was a bilingual poet, social critic, translator, culture and art advocate, who was also the founder of many cultural and donation centers in Iran (particularly in Mashhad and Āstān-e Qods-e Razavi)."

She mentioned: “The congress recommended issues are focused on Literature, translation, religion and Mysticism, Politics, Amir Ali-Shir Navaii and Herat school of thought, Linguistics, Amir Ali-Shir Navaii's works and other subjects which each of them has its own branches will be discussed”.

The deadline of submitting abstracts and full articles is 6 December 2014, and the congress will be held on 7 - 9 Feb 2015
